Candidate will teach group classes for seniors specializing in safe, low-impact exercise sessions for older adults in a social, community setting. The candidate designs and leads exercise classes specifically tailored to the physical and cognitive needs of older adults. This role focuses on improving functional movements, balance, and strength to help seniors maintain independence.
Requirements
- Program Design: Develop safe and effective fitness routines—such as cardiovascular, strength, and flexibility training—that accommodate conditions like arthritis, osteoporosis, and cardiovascular disease.
- Class Instruction: Lead group in-person classes (60 minutes), using clear explanations and providing demonstrations of proper form to minimize injury risk.
- Motivation & Community: Foster a supportive, inclusive environment to build social connections and inspire long-term participation.
- Emergency Care: Act as a safety monitor, providing basic first aid or CPR if a medical emergency occurs.
