Seasonal Warehouse Crew
Purpose:
Highly organized, detail oriented, team player wanted!
Seasonal Warehouse Associates assist with picking product from inventory, preparing the product for shipment, loading and unloading trucks, stocking shelves, transferring product between locations, receiving items into inventory, and other warehouse duties as needed. Seasonal schedule is typically March through September, and the hours per week range from 8-40 hours per week based on the needs of the business.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Picking Product from Inventory
- Preparing the product for shipment
- Loading and unloading trucks
- Stocking shelves
- Transferring product between locations.
- Receiving items into inventory.
- Other duties within the company as required
Required Qualifications:
- Strong desire to provide the best customer service.
- Ability to maintain a friendly, positive attitude.
- Professionalism and Teamwork.
- Basic computer skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- The willingness to learn new things.
- Ability to work with their hands which include repetitive motions and heavy lifting.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Some high school
Working Conditions:
- Work is physically strenuous. Workers are typically required to lift heavy packages, bend, stoop, utilize ladders and/or operate heavy equipment.
- Warehouses are often blocked buildings, and some workers must walk long distances repeatedly throughout the day.
- Depending on the type of merchandise stored, warehouses are clean, well ventilated, and well lighted.
- Warehouse workers who work on loading platforms may be exposed to all kinds of weather, and those who work outdoors should wear protective clothing.
- To reduce the risk of accidents, workers are required to follow strict safety regulations.
- Warehouse workers generally work about forty hours a week. Overtime is often available at premium rates, and the work is usually steady all year.
