About the Role

Description

 

The Warehouse Operations Manager is responsible for leading all site warehouse, distribution, and fulfillment activities to ensure safe, efficient, and accurate delivery of products to customers. This role drives operational excellence across inventory management, order fulfillment, safety, quality, and cost performance while supporting business growth and customer service objectives.


Key Responsibilities


· Lead and manage daily warehouse and distribution operations, ensuring timely, accurate, and cost-effective fulfillment of customer orders.

· Resolves customer complaints relating to transportation and other logistical issues.

· Own key performance indicators including Safety, Inventory Accuracy, Order Accuracy, Productivity, and First-Pass Pick/Pack Yield.

· Analyze operational performance metrics and implement corrective actions to meet service, cost, and quality targets.

· Ensure compliance with all warehouse policies, standard operating procedures, and regulatory requirements.

· Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on parts flow, layout optimization, space utilization, inventory control, and throughput.

· Maintain and promote a culture of safety and compliance with local regulations and company policies.

· Supports development and management of operating budgets, staffing plans, and capacity forecasts to support current and future business needs.

· Partner cross-functionally with Leadership, Quality, Operations, Customer Service, and Finance to align warehouse operations with business objectives.

· Proactively reviews and coordinate inventory reconciliation by bin, on a weekly basis

· Provide leadership and strategic direction for OEM distribution, spare parts warehousing, internal material flow, and fulfillment operations.

· Coordinates 3PL transfer and inventory system support for accuracy and shipment traceability

· Establishes role as department system Lead and Trainer, for functionality and troubleshooting when issues occur.

· Build, coach, and develop a high-performing team to improve engagement, accountability, and Superior operational results achieving a One Team approach.

Requirements

 

Qualifications & Experience


· Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Business, or related field; equivalent experience considered.

· 5+ years of experience in warehouse, distribution, or logistics operations, including leadership responsibility.

· Proven track record of improving safety, service levels, inventory accuracy, and operational efficiency.

· Strong knowledge of WMS, ERP systems (Translution & Syspro), and performance metrics.

· Experience leading continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, or similar frameworks preferred).

· Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

· Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment.


Work Environment and Physical Requirements


The work environment alternates between a cold production setting with concrete floors and an office. This position requires the team member to:

· Sit for an extended period of time at a computer.

· Stand and walk through the production floor and endure cold temperatures (38 degrees)

· Must occasionally lift/move up to 40 lbs.
