Job Summary: This position will serve the Community Engagement and Outreach areas, working closely with staff to provide resources for the older adult population in Licking County, both in person and by phone. In addition, this position will maintain relationships with individual and organization donors of LCAP.
Personal & Professional Attributes: Demonstrate sensitivity, empathy, and understanding of the needs of older, impoverished, and developmentally disabled individuals; display common sense and good judgment and actively promote LCAP to the public. Uphold the highest level of confidentiality, honesty, and integrity, and always represent the organization positively and professionally.
Core Technology Competencies: Demonstrated working knowledge of computer operations and standard office equipment (copiers, faxes, etc.) and must be able to utilize all Microsoft Office services.
Essential Duties:
- Support Community Engagement programs including but not limited to Fan Program, Pet Food Pantry, Commodity Box distribution, and SmileMaker (telephone reassurance) calls.
- Provide monthly reporting of funds and other inter-departmental spreadsheets.
- Assist with event coordination including registrations, ticket sales, setup, and cleanup
- Maintain and organize program materials (e.g., Veterans Wall)
- Ability to work collaboratively with and provide highly professional, positive customer service to all constituents
- Represent LCAP in a professional and welcoming manner during programs and activities
- Assist in gift processing and documentation in a timely manner
- Support donor stewardship projects including acknowledgement letters, assisting in the creation of new templates and ensuring accuracy of information
Reception Backup
- Effectively answer and route calls on a multi-line phone system with confidence while multi-tasking in an organized fashion
- Greet visitors and provide directions or assistance
- Assist participants with daily check-in
- Track daily donations and program income
- Maintain and update mailing lists
- Provide general administrative support as needed
- Perform other related duties as needed or as assigned.

Pay Range: $16.00-$23.73 per hour (dependent on previous relative experience)
Requirements
General Requirements: Commitment and desire to provide excellent service to all clients and aging community members. Maintain predictable and regular attendance, work stated hours, communicate, comprehend, and follow policies and procedures, and develop and maintain positive working relationships with all staff. Must be able to perform all job responsibilities satisfactorily and meet the same job title's physical requirements. All employees must possess and maintain a Valid Ohio Driver’s License and the minimum auto insurance coverage for Ohio (must be able to provide proof upon request).
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and build rapport with older adults
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Customer service experience required
- Dependable, organized, and strong judgment and discretion
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
- Development or fundraising experience, and/or experience with a CRM preferred.
