Position Summary
The role of the Primary Support Engineer, SAP Integration Senior Support Engineer requires deep expertise in SAP PI/PO, along with hands‑on experience in SAP CPI, ABAP integration, and SAP Fiori.
This role will support production systems, handle complex customer issues, and act as a go‑to technical expert for integration‑related incidents and advisory requests across APAC and global customers
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Solve complex customer issues using methodical troubleshooting based on expert knowledge of SAP applications functionality and technology
- Provide L4‑level support for SAP PI/PO and CPI landscapes, including complex production issues and escalations
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve interface failures, performance issues, and data inconsistencies
- Support and maintain integrations between:
- SAP ECC / S/4HANA
- SAP Cloud applications
- Third‑party systems
- Work on SAP CPI iFlows, adapters, and monitoring (Cloud Foundry / Neo)
- Perform end‑to‑end interface analysis, including payload inspection and error handling
- Develop and debug ABAP‑based integrations (IDocs, RFCs, Proxies, BAPIs)
- Support SAP Fiori applications related to integration scenarios:
- OData services / Gateway issues / Backend ABAP debugging
- Handle incident, problem, and advisory cases within SLA
- Participate in customer calls, RCA discussions, and escalation reviews
- Provide mentoring and guidance to junior engineers when required
- Ensure proper documentation of solutions, RCA, and best practices

Education
- Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience
Required Technical Skills
SAP Integration
- Strong hands‑on experience in SAP PI/PO:
- Architecture (dual‑stack & single‑stack)
- Interface development, monitoring, and support
- Adapters: SOAP, REST, IDoc, RFC, JDBC, File
- Mappings: Graphical, XSLT, Java
- Message monitoring, performance tuning, error handling
- Solid experience with SAP CPI:
- iFlow development and support
- Adapter configuration
- Monitoring and troubleshooting CPI flows
ABAP & Backend
- Strong ABAP debugging skills, especially for integration scenarios
- Experience with:
- IDocs
- RFCs
- ABAP Proxies
- BAPIs
- Ability to analyze backend dumps and performance issues
SAP Fiori
- Experience supporting SAP Fiori applications
- Knowledge of:
- OData services
- SAP Gateway
- Backend ABAP integration for Fiori apps
- Ability to troubleshoot Fiori‑related integration issues
Experience
- SAP Gateway
- 10+ years of overall SAP experience
- 10+ years hands‑on experience in SAP PI/PO and Fiori/ABAP
- Practical exposure to SAP CPI and Fiori support/ABAP
- Experience working in production support / AMS / L4 support environments
- Strong understanding of ITIL‑based support processes
- Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills
Skills
- Ability to communicate fluently in English. Additional languages welcomed
- Superb trouble‑shooting skills and tenacity in problem solving
- Passionate focus on customer support and ability to build long‑term client relationships
- Strong knowledge of key application functionality, tables, and relationships
- Deep knowledge of SAP customization / extension methodologies
- Excellent development skills using SAP toolset
- Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills – verbal & written
- Attention to detail and ability to learn quickly
- Extreme focus on client satisfaction
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to work calmly and professionally in high‑pressure situations
- Ability to work remotely from a home‑based office in a virtual environment
Desired Qualifications
- Extensive knowledge of SAP PI/PO with CPI / Fiori / ABAP modules across ECC and S/4 HANA
- Knowledge of SAP Industry Solutions would be an advantage
- Knowledge of any Country Specific Solutions would be an advantage
- A consulting background, while not mandatory, would be useful
- Experience with localizations and global implementations would be an advantage
