This Compensation and Benefits Specialist is responsible for analyzing market trends, designing and administering compensation structures, and managing comprehensive benefits programs that attract, retain, and motivate talent. The specialist partners closely with HR leadership and managers to provide expert guidance on pay decisions, job evaluations, and benefits utilization. Additionally, the role ensures compliance with all applicable laws and regulations while continuously assessing program effectiveness and recommending improvements. Through a combination of data analysis, employee support, and strategic planning, this position helps create a fair and engaging employee experience that supports organizational success.
Requirements
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Conduct analysis of compensation and benefits trends in the market to ensure our programs are competitive.
- Design and implement compensation and benefits programs that are aligned with the organization’s goals and objectives.
- Oversee the annual open enrollment process, including planning, communication, carrier setup, and employee support
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding benefits programs, eligibility, and claims, providing timely and accurate guidance
- Work with HR Business Partner and managers to provide guidance and support on compensation and benefits-related issues.
- Develop and maintain job descriptions, salary structures, and job evaluation systems.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of compensation and benefits programs and make recommendations for improvements.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and legislation.
- Provide training and education to managers and employees on compensation and benefits programs.
- Provide the administration of compensation and benefits programs, including payroll processing, benefits enrollment, and reporting.
- Participate in salary surveys and other benchmarking activities.
- Participate in regulatory auditing.
- Collaborate with the HR team to develop and implement overall HR strategies and initiatives.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- In-depth knowledge of compensation and benefits practices and principles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and HR information systems.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in compensation and benefits administration.
- Experience with job analysis, market pricing, and job evaluation.
- Knowledge of relevant employment laws and regulations.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

You are responsible for reporting any concerns or infractions that you become aware of so that the company may appropriately address them.
- You are responsible for protecting the credentials provided to you to access Company (and customer, where applicable) networks, systems, and data.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of all Ally and customer data to which you are granted access. Any suspected compromises of Ally proprietary data or customer data must be reported to Management immediately.
- You will adhere to the Company’s Information Security Policy and Procedures and support standard operating procedures to protect Company systems and data.
- You will alert management immediately with any expected system or data compromises and/or system failure impacting the security, confidentiality, availability, and integrity of Ally Medical and customer data.
- You will be required to attend an annual Information Security Awareness Training.
