Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation
- Requires sitting for extended periods while completing documentation, treatment planning, and computer-based tasks.
- Requires standing, walking, and moving throughout the facility to interact with clients, attend meetings, and respond to clinical needs.
- May require occasional bending, reaching, lifting, or carrying light office materials up to 25 pounds.
- Must be able to communicate clearly with clients, staff, and other professionals.
- Must be able to observe client behavior and respond appropriately in routine or crisis situations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide counseling and therapeutic interventions to clients with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health needs.
- Complete clinical assessments, psychosocial evaluations, treatment plans, referrals, and required documentation.
- Maintain a client caseload while following agency policies, HIPAA requirements, and Kentucky mental health and substance abuse standards.
- Assess client risk levels, create safety plans, and provide crisis counseling when needed.
- Participate in weekly case conferences, trainings, and team meetings to support coordinated client care.
Isaiah House is a STAR LRP-approved facility! Through the Substance Use Disorder Treatment and Recovery Loan Repayment Program, eligible behavioral health providers may receive up to $250,000 in student loan repayment assistance in exchange for a six-year, full-time service commitment at an approved site.
Requirements
Required Qaulifications:
- Master’s degree or higher in mental health counseling, psychology, behavioral science, social work, or an equivalent field of study.
- Must possess a current, valid, and unrestricted Kentucky license or associate license. Acceptable licenses include LPCC, LCSW, LPCA, CADC, CSW, or LCADC.
- One or more years of licensed clinical experience preferred, including experience working with substance use disorders, recovery, mental health, and co-occurring disorders in a residential or intensive outpatient setting.
- Experience with crisis intervention, conflict resolution, medication-assisted treatment, and working with various funding streams in collaboration with billing departments preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment, counseling, treatment planning, communication, documentation, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Must possess a valid Kentucky driver’s license to commute to all locations.
