Golf Professional (Seasonal) – Golf Operations

 Join our team as a Seasonal Golf Professional and help deliver an exceptional golf experience for our guests. In this role, you’ll support daily golf operations, provide instruction, and ensure a high level of customer service on and off the course. This position is ideal for individuals passionate about golf, hospitality, and creating memorable experiences in a resort setting.

Position Details

What You’ll Do

• Provide excellent guest service to golfers, ensuring a positive and professional experience 
• Assist with daily golf operations, including tee sheet management, pace of play, and course flow 
• Conduct individual and group golf lessons, clinics, and instructional programs 
• Support and coordinate tournaments, outings, and special golf events 
• Assist with merchandising and sales in the golf shop, including POS transactions 
• Maintain accurate tee times, reservations, and guest records using golf management systems 
• Enforce course rules, policies, and safety standards 
• Monitor course conditions and communicate with maintenance staff as needed 
• Assist with opening and closing procedures for the golf shop and practice facilities 
• Provide knowledge of golf equipment, apparel, and resort amenities to guests 
• Support junior golf programs and player development initiatives 
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the golf shop and practice areas 
• Perform additional duties as assigned by golf leadership

Requirements

 What We’re Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework in golf management or related field preferred 
• Previous golf operations, golf instruction, or golf course experience preferred 
• PGA Apprentice or PGA Professional status preferred (or desire to pursue PGA certification) 
• Strong knowledge of the game of golf, rules, and etiquette 
• Experience with POS systems and tee sheet management software preferred 
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 
• Ability to teach and engage golfers of all skill levels 
• Professional appearance and customer-focused attitude 
• Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented 

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time 
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 40lbs occasionally 
• Frequent bending, reaching, and repetitive motion 
• Ability to work outdoors for extended periods in varying weather conditions 

Work Environment

• Outdoor golf course setting with indoor golf shop operations 
• Frequent interaction with guests, members, and team members 
• Exposure to varying weather conditions, including heat, sun, wind, and rain 
• Requires flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and peak golf season 
• Active, guest-facing role requiring multitasking and continuous engagement
