Strive for quality in every decision, every day through:

  • Providing excellent customer service and making great tasting espresso beverages, while modeling and maintaining standards set by Mr. West
  • Supporting and supervising Barista team members, while leading and executing training at a high level
  • Leading and filling in the floor, barista, or bar needs, reporting customer or team concerns, and monitoring adherence to health and safety standards
  • Working the floor across any given position and shift for the front of house operations and/or general back of house support, and supporting team members in daily duties
  • Working alongside the managers to lead the execution of the Bar, Coffee, Food, and/or Retail programs
  • Involvement in ordering and inventory, keeping and maintaining storage of product through organization and cleanliness
  • Completing and validating opening and closing procedures, including cleaning, delegation, accounting, and other checklists
  • Executing the schedule as written
  • Acting as Manager on Duty in absence of General Manager or Café Manager
  • Ensuring a culture of positivity and accountability with the front of house team
  • Ensuring front of house executes high standards for a safe and hospitable customer experience
  • Demonstrating excellent hospitality, executing high-quality beverages, and maintaining a continuous quality improvement environment for our patrons
  • Ensuring quality of products and services throughout the brand and location are meeting Mr. West standards
  • Upholding and enforcing all company policies and procedures


Qualifications:

  • 2+ years previous experience in a specialty coffee barista position
  • 2+ years previous experience in a high-volume and multi-faceted restaurant, hospitality and/or food & beverage preferred
  • 1+ years experience as a Lead, Supervisor, or trainer preferred
  • Strong knowledge of specialty coffee, bar and wine preferred
  • Passion for customer service
  • Valid Food Handler and MAST Certification required.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information discreetly and professionally
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to multi task and organize time with strong attention to detail


PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONSIDERATIONS

  • Work is performed primarily in a cafe setting with extensive public contact and frequent interruptions.
  • Must be able to stand or walk a minimum eight-hour shift. Requires mobility and prolonged standing, walking, bending and lifting up to 50 lbs.
