About the Role

Position Overview  


We are seeking a highly experienced Clinical Operations Manager to lead and optimize operations across a growing pain management clinic. This individual will be responsible for driving operational efficiency, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting the expansion of procedural capabilities, including the addition of managing Ambulatory Surgery Center operations.  


This role is ideal for a hands-on operator who thrives in a fast-paced, procedural environment and has a proven track record managing both pain clinics and surgical facilities.  

Requirements

Core Responsibilities  


o Oversee daily operations of the pain clinic and ASC, ensuring efficient patient flow, scheduling optimization, and staff coordination   

o Manage clinical and administrative teams, including MAs, RNs, front office, and procedure coordinators   

o Optimize provider schedules across clinic and ASC to maximize utilization and revenue   

o Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements (state, CMS, AAAHC, OSHA, HIPAA)   

o Partner with leadership on strategic growth initiatives, including service line expansion and procedural volume growth   

o Develop and implement SOPs, workflows, and performance metrics (KPIs, case volume, room utilization, etc.)   

o Collaborate with billing and revenue cycle teams to improve collections, case capture, and payer performance   

o Support credentialing, privileging, and payer enrollment processes   

o Oversee inventory management, vendor relationships, and supply chain optimization   


Advanced / Growth-Focused Responsibilities (Preferred)  


o Assist in ASC startup or expansion, including buildout workflows, staffing models, and compliance readiness   

o Support development and implementation of in-office sedation protocols (preASC completion)   

o Work alongside providers on advanced pain procedures (e.g., SCS, PNS, MILD,  Vertiflex, Intracept) operational readiness   

o Integrate workflows related to personal injury (PI) cases, including documentation, coordination, and lien-based billing processes   


Required Qualifications  


o 3+ years of experience managing a pain management clinic   

o 2+ years of experience managing an ambulatory surgery center (ASC)  

o Strong understanding of procedural workflows, case scheduling, and room utilization   

o Experience managing multidisciplinary clinical teams   

o Working knowledge of healthcare compliance, accreditation, and regulatory standards   

o Proven ability to improve operational efficiency and drive performance outcomes   


Preferred Qualifications  


o Experience working with personal injury (PI) cases   

o Prior involvement in ASC startup or development   

o Experience implementing or managing in-office sedation programs  

o Familiarity with advanced interventional pain procedures and device-based therapies   

o Strong financial acumen (P&L exposure, budgeting, cost control)   


Compensation & Structure  


o Base Salary: $80,000 – $95,000 (aligned with market for this scope, conservative range)   

o Bonus Potential: KPI-based (case volume, revenue growth, utilization, cost control)   

o Contract-to-Hire: Initial 30–90day contract period, conversion to full-time with benefits upon successful performance
