About the Role

Description

 Community Health Centers of America is seeking a full-time Administrative Medical Assistant to join our team at the Salida Administrative Office. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical services by managing scheduling, insurance eligibility, and communication between providers and long-term care facilities. This position works in an office setting providing administrative support to providers working at contracted care facilities in the surrounding area.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Answer phones and schedule provider appointments
  • Verify insurance eligibility and coordinate with insurance companies for proper billing procedures
  • Maintain accurate files and medical records
  • Perform data entry related to patient billing, transcription, and insurance claims
  • Follow legal and ethical standards in all tasks

Requirements

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Two (2) year experience as a Medical Assistant in a corresponding setting is preferred
  • EMR and MicroSoft Office proficiency
  • High School Diploma 
  • Medical Assistant certificate 
  • Current BLS 
  • Attention to detail and organization skills
  • Proficient interpersonal relations and communicative skills
  • Bilingual Spanish preferred
