ABOUT THE ROLE & TEAM
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and deliver complex, large-scale projects across airport and airline environments. The role will be responsible for managing end-to-end project lifecycles, ensuring alignment with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and operational continuity within mission-critical aviation systems.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Oversee full project lifecycle: initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
- Manage multi-disciplinary teams including engineering, IT, operations, vendors, and external stakeholders.
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of strategic projects across airport and airline domains (e.g., passenger processing systems, biometrics, connectivity, infrastructure upgrades).
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Coordinate with airport authorities, airlines, government entities, and regulatory bodies.
- Manage vendor and partner relationships, including contract negotiation and performance tracking.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, issues, and dependencies.
- Ensure compliance with aviation standards, safety regulations, and security requirements.
- Drive stakeholder communication at executive and operational levels.
- Lead program reporting, governance, and steering committee engagements.
- Support digital transformation initiatives (e.g., cloud, biometrics, automation, smart airport solutions).
- Ensure minimal disruption to airport and airline operations during project delivery.
WHO YOU ARE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, IT, Aviation Management, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 10 – 15+ years of project management experience, with at least 5 years in airport/airline environments.
- Proven experience delivering large-scale, complex programs (multi-million dollar projects).
- Strong knowledge of airport systems such as:
- Passenger processing systems (DCS, CUSS, BHS integration)
- Airport operational systems (AODB, RMS)
- Connectivity and infrastructure programs
- Certification such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or PRINCE2.
- Strong understanding of aviation regulatory and operational environments.
- Experience in managing international stakeholders and multi-location deployments.
NICE-TO-HAVE:
- Experience with airport modernization or expansion programs
- Knowledge of biometrics and passenger journey solutions
- Exposure to cloud and digital transformation in aviation
- Experience working with global aviation service providers
