Little Ruby’s is seeking Hosts to join our team in New York City.


Little Ruby’s is a neighborhood café known for its Australian-inspired menu, all-day dining, and consistently high-volume service. Our host team plays a key role in creating a warm, welcoming first impression while managing the flow of the dining room in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.


We are looking for hosts who are friendly, organized, and hospitality-driven, with the ability to multitask and stay composed during busy service periods.


What We’re Looking For

  • Previous host, reservations, or guest services experience      preferred
  • Experience in high-volume NYC restaurants or cafés strongly      preferred
  • Strong communication and guest service skills
  • Friendly, professional, and welcoming demeanor
  • Ability to multitask and stay organized under pressure
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests warmly and create a positive first impression
  • Manage reservations and waitlists using OpenTable or similar      systems
  • Seat guests efficiently while maintaining proper table flow
  • Communicate with management and service teams to ensure smooth      operations
  • Provide accurate wait times and assist guests with inquiries
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand
  • Assist with guest needs and special requests
