Job Summary: The Training Assistant will assist with planning, organizing, and coordinating, and recordkeeping for training of personnel in the organization.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1. Training responsibilities for facility include notifying employees of necessary training, maintaining training records, and assisting with facilitating external training. 

2. Collaborating with supervisors and managers to ensure assigned training is completed.  

3. Maintaining the Mastery Tech training platform by working with vendor to assign courses, add or delete users, send out monthly status reports to managers/supervisors, and all other training tasks.

4. Helping with any other training tasks including safety-related training as assigned.  

5. Performing reception duties as needed, including answering telephones, greeting guests, ensuring visitors meet security requirements and providing PPE for guests.

6. Other administrative duties as assigned. 

Requirements

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND   SKILLS/MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:


1. Must be a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident of the United States (ITAR restrictions).

2. Must be 18 years of age or older to work at this facility. 

3. Must be eligible to possess explosives under the Safe Explosives Act of 2003 (as amended) as required by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) for all employees of Tech Ord.

4. High school diploma or GED is required. Experience in facilitating training, and/or organizing training information or training programs is preferred. 

5. Function Specific RCRA training upon hire. 

6. Ability to communicate and document effectively in English.

7. Ability to work with all employees in a team environment.  

8. Ability to multi-task in support of end-result/goal and manage large quantities of records to organize and retain in our recordkeeping systems.

9. Excellent organizational skills.

10. Ability to set and establish priorities.

1. Ability to talk and hear in order to communicate with others. 

2. Seated work for up to 90% of the workday. 

3. Occasionally required to stand and/or walk both indoors and outdoors. 

4. Must be able to use hands to finger, handle, or feel, as well as reach with hands and arms. 

5. Lifting up to 10 pounds is required. Must be able to move materials by lifting, pushing, or pulling up to 50 pounds and may seek assistance. 

6. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus when viewing a computer monitor.

7. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, and explosives. 

8. Ear protection is required as identified throughout the facility. 

Where required employees must wear a minimum of 50 percent cotton clothing including undergarments to mitigate electrostatic discharge (ESD). Employees must also wear company-issued safety footwear.
