About the Role

Description

The Principal Investigator position is designed for an experienced, independent PhD level scientist with advanced knowledge in regenerative medicine or orthopaedic surgery. The Principal Investigator will be capable managing multiple scientific projects independently, generating high quality data for 1st author scientific publications, and have experience preparing research proposals for funding. 

  • Develop and initiate novel scientific projects backed by literature. 
  • Contribute high quality data for research grants, manuscripts, and presentations.
  • Prepare and write proposals to funding agencies. 
  • Prepare, review, and submit manuscripts and abstracts for publication.
  • Follow policies and procedures established in the SPRI Employee Handbook; adhere to SPRI safety policies.
  • Maintain a personal commitment to the Steadman Philippon Research Institute mission and values.

Requirements

Requirements

  • PhD in molecular biology or biomedical engineering with 10+ years of experience
  • Strong publication record demonstrating proficiency in a variety of experimental approaches relevant in regenerative medicine 
  • Demonstrated scientific writing skills that can lead development of manuscripts, abstracts, or grant applications
  • Independently able to design and execute scientific experiments to generate or support new research directions
  • Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of disease pathways and disease-related biological targets
