GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
The Servo Press Operator is responsible for setting up and operating computer-controlled carousel style bottle screen printing presses. This role ensures efficient production, high-quality print results, and proper machine performance while maintaining a clean and organized work area.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Set up and perform changeovers, including tooling, screens, and parameters
- Create and adjust setup programs for specific jobs and bottle types
- Verify print quality and make necessary adjustments during setup and production
- Monitor machine performance and optimize speed, quality, and efficiency
- Maintain proper ink levels and collaborate with ink specialists for color accuracy
- Read and follow manufacturing orders (artwork, color, size, and product specs)
- Support maintenance with scheduled tasks and assist with nearby equipment as needed
- Work with line leads and team members to support production flow
- Clean screens, equipment, and maintain a safe, organized workspace
- Perform tasks during staggered breaks to minimize downtime
- Work flexible hours as needed, including early or extended shifts
- Complete other duties as assigned
SECONDARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop a basic understanding of 5S principles
- Cross-train in related areas to support team operations
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOB
Education:
- High School degree or equivalent
- An associate degree in a mechanical discipline is a benefit.
Experience:
- Manufacturing experience preferred but not required
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND COMPETENCIES
- Basic reading, math, and computer skills
- Mechanically inclined with strong problem-solving ability
- Ability to troubleshoot and understand cause-and-effect on equipment
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
- Able to follow instructions and adapt to changing priorities
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Flexible with work schedule, including occasional extended hours
- Strong attention to detail (inspection, counts, order accuracy)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willing to suggest process improvements
- Ability to safely handle chemicals and follow safety protocols
- Ability to lift 25–50 lbs
