We are now looking for a suitable person to fill the following position in the Office of Strategic Initiatives:
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Reporting to the Director of the Office of Strategic Initiatives, the appointee will be part of a team supporting strategic initiatives of the University, including its advancement as a University of Applied Sciences (UAS), the expansion of strategic collaborations in the Chinese Mainland and internationally, as well as the development of executive education programmes. The appointee will be responsible mainly for the following:
Providing oversight and support for strategic initiatives, including cross-border collaborations and the development of executive education programmes;
Identifying and advancing strategic partnership opportunities in the Chinese Mainland, including facilitating the development of collaborative projects and initiatives;
Coordinating communication among relevant Schools and Offices within the University for the planning, development, and implementation of strategic initiatives;
Managing the University’s communication and engagement with key stakeholders, particularly in the Chinese Mainland, including government authorities, industry organizations, and academic institutions;
Overseeing and coordinating team efforts in supporting the Office’s functions, with particular emphasis on enhancing the University’s presence, visibility, and network within the Chinese Mainland; and
Performing other duties as assigned.
Candidates
Candidates should possess the following qualifications, experience and competence:
A recognized degree, preferably a higher degree, with six years relevant working experience, preferably gained in a tertiary education setting;
Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively;
Ability to work both collaboratively and independently with internal and external parties at all levels;
Proactiveness and devotion with strong leadership and supervisory skills;
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with high proficiency in Putonghua and written Chinese; and
Proficiency in computer applications such as MS Word, MS Excel and English and Chinese word processing.
