About the Role

As a Senior Planning Engineer, you will play a critical role in managing and monitoring project schedules, ensuring alignment with contractual obligations, and supporting the project team in achieving timely delivery. You will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and progress reporting, while proactively identifying risks and recommending corrective actions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Initiate, review, and approve baseline, revised, recovery, update, and lookahead schedules.
  • Update milestone schedules during the mobilization phase and issue revised schedules after approval by the Project Director.
  • Monitor weekly progress, reflecting actual project status (dates, percentage completion, and planned activities).
  • Notify the Senior Resident Engineer of any deviations from budgeted man-hours or scheduled time and adjust schedules/resources accordingly.
  • Ensure compliance with contract requirements for project submittals by the Contractor.
  • Review and comment on Contractors manpower planning, cost-loaded schedules, and submittal logs.
  • Monitor Contractors progress against the approved program and report delays to the Resident Engineer.
  • Review and comment on Contractors progress reports, revised programs, and time extension requests.
  • Prepare monthly progress reports in coordination with QS and other engineers.
  • Evaluate Contractors claims and variation orders using delay analysis techniques.
  • Bachelors degree in Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 8+ years of experience in project planning and scheduling within large-scale construction projects.
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS Project.
  • Strong understanding of contract requirements and delay analysis methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills.
