About the Role:
The Dishwasher plays a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation standards of a food service establishment, ensuring all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are thoroughly cleaned and ready for use. This position supports the kitchen and dining staff by efficiently managing the flow of clean items, which directly impacts the overall customer experience and operational efficiency. The Dishwasher must adhere to strict hygiene and safety protocols to prevent contamination and maintain a safe working environment. This role requires physical stamina to handle repetitive motions, lifting heavy items, and standing for extended periods. Ultimately, the Dishwasher contributes to a smooth-running kitchen by providing reliable and consistent support in a fast-paced environment.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Basic reading ability to understand cleaning instructions and safety guidelines.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items up to 50 pounds safely.
- Capability to stand for extended periods during shifts.
- Demonstrated reliability with regular and punctual attendance.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities:
- Wash, clean, and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment and manual methods as needed.
- Sort and stack clean dishes and kitchenware in designated areas to ensure easy access for kitchen and service staff.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area, including sinks, counters, floors, and dishwashing machines, following health and safety regulations.
- Assist with the removal of trash and recycling materials to maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Follow all instructions from kitchen supervisors and managers to support overall kitchen operations and respond to urgent cleaning needs.
