About the Role

RGNext employees execute and report on theater and strategic offensive and defensive ballistic missile testing and support space situational awareness operations and experiments, using a wide array of highly sophisticated radar, telemetry and optical sensors to meet the needs of our nation in defending the United States and its interests. 

This is a casual position. Work is as needed and will require travel to Kwajalein Atoll as well as remote work. 

What You Will Do:

  • Work primarily with software and systems on the land and sea-based Flight Safety systems. Systems include processing and display computers, networks, telemetry, communications, and transmitters.
  • Develop and maintain the software and mission configurations used in operations.
  • Operate, configure, and troubleshoot the land and ship systems for rocket and missile flight safety support at the small tropical islands of Kwajalein and Roi Namur and on a ship. This includes post-mission analysis and documentation. 
  • Duties include fault detection, fault isolation, reporting, repair, testing and documentation.
  • Other activities include ensuring the systems remain cyber compliant in accordance with RMF accreditation requirements. 
  • Perform other duties as required or assigned.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Software or Systems Engineering or equivalent qualification in an appropriate STEM discipline. 
  • Two or more years work experience in Engineering or related disciplines. 
  • Experience with creating Systems and Software documentation for Requirements, Design, and Testing.
  • Front end design or application development experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in some of the following areas: software engineering, systems engineering, configuration management and networks. 
  • Advanced knowledge and experience using the Common Display System, DataGen, and H30 Telemetry processor. 
  • Knowledge of software configuration management (Git, CVS, Subversion).
  • Follow and establish configuration management processes.
  • Strong mathematical skills.
  • Have a history of developing using Visual Studio, C++, C#, Perl, CSS, or XML.
  • Proficient in Unit Testing using a testing framework such as Boost.
  • Knowledge of both Windows and Linux operating systems.
  • Independently motivated to define and pursue projects to completion.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and upper management, including presentation skills. 
  • Collaborate effectively as part of a group and work independently with minimal supervision as dictated by the situation. 
  • Effectively prioritize and juggle multiple concurrent projects
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Passport.
  • The ability to travel to travel to U.S. Army Garrison – Kwajalein Atoll in the Marshall Islands.
