About the Role

Description

Schedule: Full-Time | Onsite
Facility: Highland Health & Rehab (Bellingham, WA) + Stafholt Health & Rehab (Blaine, WA)

At Highland Health & Rehabilitation, we are dedicated to providing exceptional skilled nursing and rehabilitation services that help our residents recover, thrive, and live well. We are currently seeking a dynamic Admissions & Marketing Manager to join our team, supporting both Highland and our sister facility, Stafholt Health & Rehabilitation.

In this role, you will play a key part in advancing our mission of compassionate, resident-centered care by leading census development, managing admissions, and driving community outreach. You will build and maintain strong relationships with residents, families, and healthcare referral partners, while supporting a healthy occupancy across both buildings. This includes regularly traveling to local hospital partners to strengthen referral pipelines and partnerships.

This is a fast-paced, highly collaborative role that requires strong communication, organization, and customer service skills, along with the ability to build trust, think strategically, and execute with urgency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain relationships with hospital discharge planners, physicians, case managers, and community organizations to generate consistent, high-quality referrals.
  • Conduct facility tours for prospective residents and families, providing education on services, care levels, and financial processes.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of bed availability, service offerings, and referral processes.
  • Manage the full inquiry-to-admission process, including timely follow-up and accurate documentation.
  • Lead daily bed management meetings, collaborating with clinical and administrative leadership to ensure efficient admissions and smooth transitions.
  • Partner with internal departments to ensure rooms are prepared and care teams are informed ahead of resident arrivals.
  • Represent the facility at community events and professional functions, helping to elevate brand visibility and reputation.
  • Analyze customer service satisfaction data and support efforts to enhance service delivery across departments.
  • Maintain records of marketing and outreach activity, developing strategies based on referral trends and inquiry data.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations related to admissions and marketing practices.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred; relevant experience may be considered instead of a degree.
  • 3–4 years of experience in admissions, healthcare marketing, sales, or customer service, ideally in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Strong interpersonal communication, organizational, and public speaking skills.
  • Experience with healthcare reimbursement models (Medicare/Medicaid/managed care) preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across interdisciplinary teams.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable learning healthcare software platforms.
