DISHWASHERS FOR BANQUETS 

This position is “On-Call”  

 

 

SUMMARY  

Maintains kitchen work areas and restaurant equipment and utensils in clean and orderly condition by performing the following duties.

 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Scrapes food from dirty dishes and washes them by hand or places them in racks or on a conveyor to the dishwashing machine.
  • Holds inverted glasses over revolving brushes to clean inside surfaces.
  • Washes pots, pans, and trays.
  • Sweeps and mops kitchen floors.
  • Segregates and removes trash and garbage and places it in designated containers. 
  • Transfers supplies and equipment between the Kitchen and storage areas.
  • Ensures dish machine, sink, table, and drain board are clean and free of food.
  • Remove and clean dish machine strainers.
  • Clear and clean the top of the dishwasher.
  • Empty and clean all coffee and tea urns, including spouts.
  • Store washing racks neatly.
  • Check detergent and sanitizer buckets; refill if needed.
  • Check all Banquet rooms at the end of the event to make sure all pans and utensils have been cleaned.
  • Check with the head dishwasher before leaving the facility.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be available to work nights and/or weekends (no exceptions)
  • Must pass a criminal background check (no felony convictions)

                                    

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Must have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED), OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
