Memorial Community Health, Inc. is in search for a dependable and patient-focused PRN Hospital Pharmacist. This PRN position is as-needed, with no on-call, weekends, or holiday shifts required.
The Pharmacist is responsible for compounding and dispensing medications to patients, ensuring compliance with patient care quality standards and provide pharmaceutical care. Provide information on medications; review medication interactions, safety and efficacy, and clinical services. Interpret physician/provider prescriptions and medication orders, compound and dispense prescribed medications and other pharmaceuticals for patient care.
Job Duties:
- Develops and maintains Pharmacy Quality Assurance Program to help reduce medication errors and adverse drug reactions, and to improve appropriate medication use.
- Controls the purchase and inventory maintenance of all pharmaceuticals and related substances and supplies.
- Acts as pharmacist lead in the Antimicrobial Stewardship Program (ASP) at Memorial Community Health Inc. Responsible for the program’s outcomes and stewardship activities.
- Performs and maintains documentation.
- Communicates effectively.
- Promotes and ensures patient and staff safety in all aspects of responsibilities.
- Follows HIPAA regulations and ensures that the confidentiality of residents’ medical, personal, financial records, employee records, and organizational records is maintained.
- Complies, understands, and enforces state and federal regulatory requirements related to the performance of Memorial Community Health operations and requirements, including but not limited to HIPAA, the Code of Conduct, the Compliance Policy, Safety and Infection Control, all department and organization-wide policies, Critical Access Hospital requirements, and Federal and State of Nebraska regulations.

Requirements
- Bachelor of Science Degree (BS) pharmacy degree or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an accredited College of Pharmacy
- Current licensure as a Registered Pharmacist in the State of Nebraska (RPh)
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and maintain courteous and professional composure during stressful situations
- Ability to problem solve with the ability to prioritize
- Ability to multitask and remain detail oriented
- Ability to utilize an electronic health record
