The Worker's Compensation Historian is responsible for obtaining a complete historical and comprehensive narrative of the examinees work related injury, treatment and present complaints.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Must have experience with Med-Legal Worker's Compensation reporting
- Must have thorough understanding of AMC Guides 5th edition and Labor codes 4663 & 4664
- Excellent reading, comprehension, writing and grammar skills
- Must be well versed with anatomic and medical terminology
- Strong organizational skills, detailed-oriented, and ability to handle multiple task
- Must exhibit a high degree of professional excellence characterized by sound independent judgment, initiative and high standard of ethics.
- Must possess high attention to detail
- Excellent interviewing and social skills
Requirements
Qualifications:
- 1 to 2 years' work experience in Workers Compensation cases
- Experience in Orthopedics and Pain Management preferred
- Dependable and organized
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and follow up on assignments
- Self-starter, proactive and works well with little supervision
- Excellent analytical skills, likes to be accurate and attention to detail
- Intermediate or higher skill level in WordPerfect and/or Word office
- Associates degree or higher
- Bilingual is a plus, not essential
