Description

 Lead Infant Teacher (Full-Time), Lake Area Discovery Center – Twin Cities Metro Area

Lake Area Discovery Center (LADC) is hiring a Full-Time Lead Infant Teacher to join our high-quality early childhood education / childcare program serving families across the Twin Cities Metro.

This role is ideal for an experienced infant teacher, childcare professional, or early childhood educator who enjoys leading a classroom, collaborating with a strong teaching team, and engaging in ongoing professional growth.

Position Overview

  • Lead an Infant classroom (ages 6 weeks–~16 months) in a licensed childcare / daycare setting 
  • Provide nurturing, responsive care and support social-emotional development 
  • Collaborate with assistant teachers, aides, and support staff 
  • Participate in a network of lead teachers and early childhood educators 
  • Receive paid daily prep time 
  • Plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum and monthly lesson plans 
  • Support a safe, engaging, and structured learning environment 
  • Engage in ongoing professional development, early childhood training, and leadership development 

Compensation & Schedule

  • $50,000 – $55,000 annual salary (12-month position) 
  • 9-month (school-year) option available for those not teaching in summer 
  • Salary based on education and early childhood experience

Qualifications

  • Must meet Minnesota DHS requirements for Lead Teacher 
  • Background in early childhood education, child development, childcare, or daycare 
  • Experience with infants or toddler care preferred 
  • Strong classroom management, communication, and teamwork skills
