The Detail Technician/Accessories Installer is responsible for preparing, detailing, and enhancing vehicles to dealership standards through professional cleaning, polishing, and accessory installation services. This position performs vehicle detailing, paint correction, clear bra/PPF installation, window tinting, and installation of dealership-offered accessories and enhancements. The role requires attention to detail, efficiency, quality workmanship, and adherence to all safety standards while supporting a clean, organized, and customer-focused environment.
Requirements
Essential Responsibilities
- Wash, wax, buff, and polish vehicle exteriors
- Clean vehicle interiors including vacuuming and shampooing
- Clean windows, engines, and engine compartments
- Perform cut and polish work on new and used vehicles
- Install clear bra/paint protection film (PPF)
- Install window tint
- Install dealership accessories including electronics, interior and exterior enhancements, and other aftermarket products
- Conduct safety testing and inspections to ensure proper installation and functionality
- Process all new and used inventory in a timely manner (target of 2 days or less)
- Maintain a clean and organized shop and work area daily
- Clean and maintain tools, equipment, and devices regularly
- Follow all dealership safety procedures and manufacturer standards
- Communicate effectively with management and team members regarding vehicle status and installation needs
- Support a positive customer experience through quality workmanship and efficiency

Requirements
- Automotive industry experience preferred
- Previous detailing and/or buffing experience preferred
- Experience with window tint and/or PPF installation preferred
- Valid driver’s license with driving record acceptable to company insurance standards
- Certifications appropriate to the position are a plus
Working Conditions / Environmental Factors
Work is generally performed indoors in a shop environment, with occasional outdoor work. Indoor conditions may include exposure to heat, cold, elevated noise levels, fumes, chemicals, and dust. Outdoor work may involve exposure to varying weather conditions including sun, rain, heat, and cold.
Physical Requirements
- Standing/walking for extended periods on hard surfaces, up to the entire shift
- Sitting up to 1/4 of the shift, including inside vehicles
- Carrying up to 20 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Lifting up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds occasionally
- Pushing/pulling up to 50 pounds force frequently
- Frequent bending, twisting, reaching, and overhead work
- Occasional squatting, kneeling, and climbing ladders up to six feet
- Hearing and vision ability sufficient to safely operate vehicles, equipment, and identify hazards and quality concerns
