Job Description
C&Z Construction is looking for motivated individuals who want to build a long-term career in construction. We have been in business since 1983 and operate in a recession-resistant industry focused on fire and restoration services, providing stable, year-round work. This is an entry-level position where you will learn how structures are built by assisting with demolition, job site preparation, and restoration work.
Growth Opportunity - After 12 months of consistent performance, reliability, and strong work ethic, you may be promoted to a Carpenter Helper position. From there, you will begin hands-on carpentry training with the opportunity to grow into a Lead Carpenter. This is a career path, not just a job.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist with demolition and removal of damaged materials
- Help set up and clean up job sites
- Support carpenters and project managers
- Load and unload materials and tools
- Assist with contents handling, including moving, packing, and organizing customer belongings
- Participate in emergency response services and on call rotation as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the team and project completion
- Follow safety procedures at all times
Qualified applicants need to have a valid driver's license with prior history of operating commercial vehicles. No prior industry experience is needed, but tolerance for labor intensive work in less-than-ideal environments is required. You must be able to lift and maneuver items of at least 75 pounds regularly. You will climb and descend stairs and ladders multiple times a day. Tasks include repetitive bending, twisting, reaching overhead, and working in tight or awkward spaces. You must maintain the stamina for continuous physical labor throughout the day, including walking, carrying materials, and performing tasks safely and efficiently.

Qualifications
- No experience required, construction experience is a plus
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Ability to lift 75+ pounds, climb ladders, and work in various conditions
- Willingness to work in fire damaged homes and dirty environments
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Comfortable using smartphones and basic apps
- Willingness to learn and grow within the company
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.

- Pay: $21/hr to $26/hr based on experience
