            Days: Sunday-Thursday 5:30 AM - 5:00 PM

Position Summary:

The Diesel Mechanic is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, maintaining and repairing company fleet vehicles, including semi-trucks, trailers, hydrovacs, crew trucks and related machinery. This position performs preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs to keep equipment running safely and efficiently while supporting daily operations and reducing down time.
 

Key Responsibilities/Essential Functions

· Inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy duty trucks, trailers, hydrovacs, diesel engines, light duty vehicles, generators and other company equipment

· Perform preventative maintenance services including oil changes, brake work, fluid checks, tire service and scheduled inspections

· Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical issues to minimize downtime

· Complete repairs accurately and in a timely manner to support daily operations

· Maintain service records, repair logs, and preventative maintenance documentation

· Conduct safety inspections and ensure all equipment is in safe operating condition

· Respond to field service calls or emergency repair as needed

· Follow all company safety policies and procedures

· Perform additional duties as assigned.
 

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of mechanic experience working with heavy trucks, diesel engines, trailers, construction equipment, or related fleet equipment 
• Experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical systems
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize repairs
• Dependable, self-motivated, and safety conscious 
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with operations personnel 
• Hydrovac equipment experience (preferred)
• Experience with hydraulic systems, PTO systems or vacuum systems (preferred)
• DOT inspections and fleet compliance experience (preferred)
• Must be able to commute to Ault, CO

Physical Demand and Work Environment

• Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly 
• Ability to stand, bend, kneel, crouch, climb, and work with tools for extended periods of time
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Ability to safely operate tools, diagnostic equipment, and shop machinery
• May require occasional after hours or emergency repair response

Company Requirements

• Legally authorized to work in the United States 
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening
• Valid driver's license with clean MVR

Compensation and Benefits:

Salary: $27 -$37 per hour

Overtime: Eligible after 40 hours of work in one week
