ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES 

In addition to work duties of a Janitor, the Lead Janitor will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Plans, assigns, monitors, reviews and supervises the work of janitorial staff
  • Instructs, advises and demonstrates work methods, practices and procedures for completing job assignments and assists in the training of new and current staff
  • Ensures that janitorial team starts the workday with supplies, equipment, and tools necessary to accomplish job tasks
  • Ensures the appearance of the site’s grounds are within standards based on guidelines of the maintenance supervisor and maintenance department



QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 1-2 years of experience preferred. 
  • Ability to read, speak and write in English. 
  • Ability to plan, organize, and coordinate work of janitorial staff
  • Ability to effectively orient and train new employees
  • General knowledge of safety precautions and procedures of all buildings/facilities 
  • Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (green card holder) or other status as a U.S. Person).
