Senior Application Technologist (Beverages) for Central & West Africa - Your future position?

Are you passionate about crafting outstanding beverage experiences? As a Senior Application Technologist within Givaudan’s Flavours Creation & Application (FC&A) team, you will play a leading technical role supporting the Beverages category across Central & West Africa. Based in our Casablanca office, you will collaborate with Flavourists, sales, and marketing teams to turn creative concepts into delicious, consumer-winning products. You’ll work hands-on to evaluate and apply flavours in beverages such as carbonated drinks, juices, still and energy drinks, bringing technical excellence and market insight to every project.

Our FC&A team helps customers imagine, create, and deliver great-tasting products that delight consumers. In this role, you will guide flavour selection, optimize formulations, and provide technical support from idea to finished drink—helping our customers differentiate and succeed in the market.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Lead beverage flavour application and evaluation for customer projects across the region.
  
  
• Provide technical support and product demonstrations, from recipe optimization to production trials.
  
  
• Advise on flavour performance, stability, and selection according to sensory, technical, and regulatory criteria.
  
  
• Translate market trends and consumer insights into innovative product concepts.
  
  
• Collaborate closely with creation, marketing, and commercial teams to successfully deliver and win customer briefs.
  
  
• Maintain data accuracy, lab safety, and technical best practices in all applications work.

Your Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Chemistry or related field.
  
  
• Minimum 5 years of experience in beverages applications, ideally within a flavour house or food ingredients company.
  
  
• Strong tasting and sensory evaluation skills with a keen interest in flavour innovation.
  
  
• Good understanding of beverage manufacturing processes and flavour interactions.
  
  
• Skilled in project management, problem-solving, and trend translation.
  
  
• Fluent in French and English with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  
  
• A collaborative mindset and willingness to travel across Central & West Africa.
