Position Summary:
The Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for visitors, residents, and staff, ensuring a professional and welcoming atmosphere. This role manages the front desk, answers phones, directs visitors, and provides clerical support to facility operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Answer phones courteously, direct calls, and take accurate messages.
- Welcome and direct visitors, vendors, and applicants; maintain visitor log.
- Provide accurate information to residents, families, and staff as requested.
- Sort and distribute mail, packages, and messages promptly.
- Assist with clerical tasks such as copying, filing, and data entry.
- Support survey readiness through professional conduct and accurate records.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Organizational and clerical abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and phone systems.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred:
- Experience in healthcare or office reception role.
Physical & Work Requirements
- Prolonged sitting with occasional walking and standing.
- Ability to lift 5--40 lbs and push wheelchairs as needed.
