About the Role

 

POSITION SUMMARY:

 

The Quality Improvement Advisor is responsible for improving quality outcomes in the area End Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) by supporting the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Task Order goals, initiatives, and deliverables for Alliant Health Solutions, as supported by Alliant Quality, the Medicare ESRD Network contracted states.  As additional CMS Task Orders are awarded, the Quality Improvement Advisor will provide subject matter expertise for CMS goal achievement. 

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

 

  • Provides technical assistance, support, and education to ESRD providers and stakeholders in order to achieve contract goals. 
  • Collaborates with multi-disciplinary team to develop and support ESRD initiatives, projects, patients, documents, and tools for ESRD Networks and assigned communities.
  • Understands, assesses, and interprets data for quality improvement efforts.
  • Engages beneficiaries and dialysis providers to improve health care quality at the local level.
  • Collaborates with dialysis providers to develop data-driven quality improvement methodologies.
  • Practices and promotes rapid cycle improvement techniques in daily work.
  • Supports quality improvement projects through onsite consulting support. 
  • Represents ESRD Networks on local/state/national levels in presentations, on-site meetings, and webinars.
  • Tracks and monitors projects to ensure timely submittal or execution on contract deliverables and reports.
  • Establishes relationships with dialysis facility staff involved in assigned quality improvement initiatives.
  • Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned.

  • Works in close collaboration with other team members to support the development of new projects and continuous improvement of the overall work process within the team.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

 

  • Demonstrated experience in healthcare Quality Improvement (QI) and the ability to motivate and lead others to provide quality services and deliverables in a timely manner, with experience with improvement of HAIs in a healthcare setting is preferred. 
  • Knowledge, skills, and experience with critical-thinking, innovation, and problem-solving, recommending successful solutions, including the spread and implementation of such solutions for large scale change. 
  • Excellent oral and written communication spanning from executives to general public. 
  • Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple activities/projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to interact with all levels of an organization with excellent interpersonal and team skills.
  • Computer literate with Intermediate-Advance knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and Teams and Edge, and Internet.
  • Ability to travel by driving or flying to Company locations, customer events or meetings or other locations as needed.

 

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND TRAINING:

 

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in public health, nursing, or related healthcare field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in project management, planning and/or coordination of daily activities, data analysis, quality management techniques and tools
  • Minimum 3 years of dialysis (ESRD) experience 

 

Preferred:

  • Quality Improvement experience
