Description

Ball Horticultural Company is seeking a customer-centric candidate to work in the international area of seed operations. Ball is the largest flower seed breeder/producer and distributor in the world, providing outstanding products, best-in-class customer service, and reliable supply to professional growers around the globe.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Process, package, and distribute seed to meet the expectations of Ball’s global customers 
• Provide high-quality product and accurate content to maintain our number one position in the industry 
• Participate in continuous improvement exercises and adapt to changing needs and requirements 
• Perform quality checks
• Participate in physical inventories
• Work with the overall team to deliver best-in-class service
• Perform all other duties needed to help drive to our vision, fulfill our mission, and abide by our organization’s values
• Adhere to all quality control measures and watch for signs of tampering and contamination 
• Perform work using multiple computer systems / software including: Microsoft Office tools, SAP inventory control and management, Government websites to manage international trade, and Carrier software – UPS, FedEx, DHL and others 

Requirements

• Must have a high school diploma or GED
• A minimum of 2 years experience in light industrial, production, laboratory, packaging, international shipping, or distribution operations
• Industrial lift truck experience preferred, quality control
• Excellent verbal and written skills to communicate with internal and external customers, bilingual capabilities a plus
• Microsoft Office and inventory systems experience required
• Problem solving, attention to detail, organizational skills, teamwork, adaptability, and flexibility to work in multiple areas performing multiple tasks is required
• Productive, high-quality output to meet customer expectations and internal metrics
• Assist in creating new procedures and improving existing processes
• Work directly with other employees inside and outside the department on shared objectives

Pay Range: $19-$24/hour 

Physical Requirements 

• Ability to lift/carry up to 30 pounds 5% of the day
• Ability to push/pull up to 50 pounds 10% of the day
• Ability to sit/stand 50% of the day
• Ability to kneel/bend/reach/climb/balance up to 15% of the day
• Ability to use hands/fingers up to 100% of the day
