Summary
We are currently seeking an Emerging Architecture Professional to join our architecture team who can make immediate contributions to our overall team success.
Candidates for this position should be a driven architectural graduate, looking for an opportunity to promote growth as part of a relaxed, tight-knit community. They should be talented, self-motivated individuals able to work in a team environment across a variety of project scales and types. Candidates should demonstrate professionalism, strive to contribute innovation and creativity to the team, and exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills. As an emerging architecture professional you will be exposed to all traditional project roles, ranging from schematic design through construction documentation, construction administration, client engagement, and eventually project management. With a full scope of projects on board, we are looking for new talent to make an immediate impact while we support you in your pursuit of full architectural registration.
Primary Responsibilities
o Work & collaborate within an interdisciplinary design team.
o Effectively communicate with colleagues and/or clients to determine project goals, needs, and requirements.
o Collaborate with external consultants or subconsultants which may include landscape architects, engineers, surveyors, estimators, planners, or others.
o Compile complete sets of drawings, manage concurrent projects, collaborate with clients, consultants, team members, and have knowledge of architectural design, methods, and techniques.
o Manage various and/or all phases of Bernardo Wills architecture projects.
o Contribute ideas and solutions in project team environments.
o Prepare project designs and plans using Revit, AutoCAD, and Sketchup.
o Prepare presentations and graphics using the Adobe Creative Suite and the Microsoft Office Suite.
o Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Knowledge and Skills
o Demonstrated proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.
o Demonstrated proficiency in Google Sketchup, Adobe Creative Suite, Lumion 10.0 (and later).
o Demonstrated ability with Microsoft Office Suite.
o Ability to take initiative and stay organized while managing multiple projects or tasks.
o Interest in sharing and/or learning of emerging research and technologies applicable to the profession.
o A commitment to hard work and the ability to take initiative as well as follow directions.
Qualifications
o College degree from an accredited Architecture program (or equivalent).
o 3+ years of related professional experience.
o Actively seeking professional licensure.
o Demonstrated proficiency in interpersonal, leadership, communication, and presentation skills.
o Demonstrated interest in standard design processes, construction drawing set compilation, client engagement, and project management.
o Ability to work a full-time, in-office position at our office in Spokane, Washington.
o Remote work and work sponsorship are not available for this position.
