About this Location:

This position is located at the Embassy Suites by Hilton in Temecula CA. We are in the heart of Southern California’s beautiful Temecula Valley, known for its award-winning wineries, vibrant Old Town, and strong sense of community. Our hotel sits just minutes from shopping, dining, entertainment, and outdoor recreation, offering team members the perfect balance between work and lifestyle. Temecula provides 172 room suites that are welcoming, family-friendly environment with easy access to major freeways for easy commute.

Essential Responsibilities:

  1. Takes orders from customers and cooks food requiring short preparation time, according to customer requirements.
  2. Completes order from steam table and serves customer at table or counter.
  3. May clean food preparation equipment and work area to maintain a high sanitation standard.
  4. May clean counter or tables.
  5. Ensure that all food items are properly handled and stored at the conclusion of the shift.
  6. Properly rotates inventory.
  7. Work with manager to create specials and other menu variations.
  8. Supports and adheres to the core values, the mission statement, service fundamentals, and guest service philosophy as defined by the company.
  9. Required to be always in uniform when working on the property, including wearing a name identification badge.
  10. All other duties as assigned by a manager or supervisor.

Skills and Abilities:

  •  Knowledge of food preparation health and safety guidelines.
  •  Ability to multi-task and exceed expectations of guests.
  •  Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  •  Use hands, arms, and fingers.
  •  Work to precise measurements.
  •  Visualize how finished product will look.
  •  Use arithmetic to measure, compute number of materials to use, and to inspect product to be sure it conforms to requirements.

Requirements

Physical Demands: Light work. Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally. Requires walking or standing to a significant degree. Working at a production rate pace entailing the constant pushing and/or pulling of materials even though the weight of those materials is negligible.

  •  High School completion or an equivalent level of education and experiences.
  •  Previous cook experience preferred.
