Reporting to an Assistant Retail & Education Manager based in Malaysia, you will play a significant role in driving MAKE UP FOR EVER brand growth with strong retail strategy and smooth retail operations planning and execution.

This person is responsible for driving sales through retail and education in Sephora stores and stand-alone boutique in Singapore and Malaysia. You will also be responsible in supporting the retail team to grow brand performance & ranking in Sephora channel and drive sales in boutique channel to grow market share. This person will foster love and professional makeup artistry of MAKE UP FOR EVER to Sephora Beauty Advisors and own MU Experts.

 

Job Description

YOUR MISSION _________

RETAIL SALES DEVELOPMENT:

  • Take ownership of sell-in executive for the brands.
  • Monitor sales on daily basis and follow up with retail staff to ensure consistency of customer service delivery and to achieve monthly sales targets.
  • Plan and execute trade activations to support new launches and brand’s key bets such as animations, beauty workshops and events for both Sephora.
  • Work closely with marketing team for new launch product forecasting to ensure sufficient stocks to achieve sell-in and sell-out targets
  • Provide weekly and monthly sales results analysis for both sell-in and sell-out and develop strategies and action plans to improve performance and close the sales gap between actual vs budget. 
  • Discuss with Assistance Retail & Education Manager to identify, negotiate and secure external promo sites in Sephora to achieve brand/launch objectives.


RETAIL COORDINATION & OPERATIONS:

  • Monitor stocks inventory weekly to ensure all top best-selling SKUs have sufficient stocks in all stores. Work closely with brand coordinator and Sephora teams for new launch first sell-in and monthly stocks replenishment in a timely manner.
  • Develop, coordinate, and plan trade activities and trade mechanics across Sephora top doors and aim at achieving launch objectives and to boost sales during slow period.
  • Coordinate sales events: Sephora launch pads, makeup workshops, corporate workshops
  • Work with brand coordinator to manage and monitor POSM costs such as testers, counter maintenance spent, and provide updates to Assistant Marketing Manager regularly.
  • Provide qualitative feedback for new launches to identify market’s needs and opportunities. 
  • Keep abreast and compile competitors’ activities and consumer trends in the market.
  • Participate in every stock count event in the Boutique.  
  • Work with Assistant Retail & Education manager in hiring manpower to support event. 

EDUCATION:

  • To develop training action plans, ensuring service excellence of frontline staff, in line with business objectives.
  • Adapt both face-to-face and digital training content from HQ training materials for local usages.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to trainers to enhance training quality and sales techniques.
  • Develop MU Experts makeup skills, digital content creation skills and product knowledge.
  • Work with Assistant Retail & Education Manager to monitor and follow up with annual MU Expert assessment with relevant action plan.
  • Compile, analysis and report key performance indicators on ongoing training activities. 

BRAND IMAGE/VM EXECUTION:

  • Ensure stores’ VM (new launch POSM), updates of grids, testers display are according to Regional VM guidelines
  • Coach & delegate to appointed MU experts the delivery of VM excellence 
  • Able to feedback and propose recommendations to Marketing and VM team based on market changes, business opportunities
  • Be on-site to help & support MU Experts during new store/launch set up.
     

Qualifications

WHAT YOU OFFER_________

  • At least 2-3 years’ relevant working experience in Sales and Retail, preferably in cosmetics/beauty.
  • Has strong sense of numbers, strong problem-solving skills and is analytical.
  • Proficient in IT skills particularly MS Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint). 
  • Well-developed interpersonal & communication skills
  • Resourceful self-starter, with a can-do attitude that thrives in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment.
  • Comfortable multi-tasking and able to deliver results under pressure and under tight deadlines
  • Meticulous, organized and task oriented
  • Good analytical skills with ability to grasp numbers
  • Highly motivated, an innovative and a motivator
