Friends of Switchpoint is a non-profit organization that has been serving those individuals, families and veterans experiencing poverty and homelessness since 2014.

To empower families and individuals in need by addressing the underlying causes of their poverty and providing each client with a personalized, comprehensive plan that supports them on their journey to self-sufficiency and the opportunity to contribute to the community.

JOB PURPOSE:

We’re looking for a bold, creative, and driven Social Media Coordinator who’s excited to bring Switchpoint’s story to life online. In this role, you’ll help plan, create, and execute engaging content that captures both our nonprofit mission and the energy of our five social enterprise businesses—including our thrift stores, coffee shops, childcare program, doggy daycare, and community garden. If you love storytelling, thrive in a fast-moving environment, and want your work to make a real impact, this is your chance. This is a full-time, hands-on role based in St. George.

Requirements

Job Duties:

  • Develop Switchpoint’s presence on Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok with fresh, engaging content 
  • Shoot and edit short-form video using a mobile phone, both on-site and in the field 
  • Plan, organize, and schedule content across platforms using scheduling tools 
  • Tell compelling stories that highlight Switchpoint’s people, businesses, and mission 
  • Generate creative ideas and take initiative to execute them from concept through completion

Required or Preferred:

  • Proficiency in Canva, CapCut (or similar editing tools), and major social media platforms including Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok 
  • Ability to shoot, edit, and produce high-quality content using a smartphone 
  • Experience using social media scheduling and content management tools 
  • Strong creative eye with attention to visual storytelling and brand consistency 
  • Passion for mission-driven work, particularly in nonprofit or community-focused environments 
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage priorities without close supervision 
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to plan and execute content consistently 
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and visual 
  • Familiarity with nonprofit communications or community storytelling (preferred) 
  • Portfolio or examples of past social media work demonstrating creativity and results (preferred)

COMPENSATION

Starting Wage: $45,000
