This position is located at our Gorsuch Ski cafe and Coffee Bar locations at the top of Bridge Street and Wall Street in Vail Village.
We are seeking a Ski Cafe and Coffee Bar Supervisor to join our Gorsuch family. About the Role:
The Coffee Bar Supervisor plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the coffee bar within the CO-Vail Ski Coffee Bar. And will report to the Cafe Manager. This position is responsible for overseeing daily activities, managing staff, and maintaining high standards of customer service and product quality. The supervisor will lead by example, fostering a positive work environment while ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. They will also handle inventory management, staff scheduling, and training to optimize performance and customer satisfaction. Ultimately, the role aims to deliver an exceptional coffee experience that aligns with the cafe’s brand and operational goals.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 3 years of experience in a coffee shop or retail food service environment.
- Previous supervisory or team lead experience in a customer-facing role.
- Basic knowledge of coffee preparation and equipment operation.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in barista training or coffee preparation.
- Food Safe Certification and Training.
- Experience working in a fast-paced retail or hospitality environment.
- Familiarity with inventory management software and point-of-sale systems.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to food service.
- Leadership training or coursework.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily coffee bar operations to ensure efficient service and quality control.
- Manage, train, and motivate baristas and other team members to maintain high standards of customer service.
- Monitor inventory levels, place orders, and manage stock to prevent shortages or waste.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards in all aspects of the coffee bar.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly to maintain a positive customer experience.
- Prepare work schedules and manage labor costs while ensuring adequate staffing during peak hours.
- Collaborate with management to implement promotional activities and improve operational procedures.

Compensation and Benefits:
The anticipated base salary range for this position is between $28-32 hourly. The rate of pay may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

5 days a week and be available to work 2 of 3 weekend days (Fri, Sat, Sun) and 2 weekday shifts.
