CDL Driver - Naples

Florida Design Works is the industry sales leader in flooring, designer tile, custom cabinetry, and stone countertops for over 55 years. Our Naples and Fort Myers location is seeking a qualified, dependable driver with a Class B CDL to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for both driving and assisting the warehouse team when not on the road, including helping to load and unload materials from the warehouse onto our truck, warehouse operations and inventory, customer assistance, and helping unload the shipment when you arrive. We prefer driver candidates with a Class B CDL to have at least one (1) year of large truck driving experience, can operate a manual transmission vehicle, and is air brake certified. • Driver w/CDL B license: Starting at $23-$25/hour depending on experience + opportunity for OT

Responsibilities Include:

• Pick-up loads, organize materials on the truck, and secure loads 
• Transport pallet goods and other materials to our locations in Sarasota, Ft. Myers, and Naples.
• Unload materials arriving at the warehouse using a forklift
• Maintaining a clean truck and warehouse
• Assist customers and contractors in the warehouse
• Adhering to all company policies and safety procedures 
• Obey all applicable traffic laws and drive according to the weather/road conditions
• Reporting any driving incidents asap to supervisor
• Helping other team members as needed to get the job done

Requirements

 Requirements and Qualifications

• Valid Class B CDL, DOT medical card, and 1+ years' experience driving large trucks (box and flatbed)
• Authorized to legally work in the US
• Valid Florida Driver License with no restrictions and clean driving record
• Can operate a manual transmission truck
• Air brake certified (current/valid)
• Experience operating warehouse equipment, such as forklifts, hand trucks, and pallet jacks a plus
• Able to lift/move 50-75 pounds
• Able to follow written and oral directions, use GPS/Navigation system
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Bilingual English/Spanish a plus
• High school diploma/GED equivalent or higher
