Greater Nashua Mental Health is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support the upkeep, safety, and functionality of agency facilities and grounds. This role performs a wide range of maintenance and repair tasks, ensuring that buildings, equipment, and systems are operating efficiently. The Maintenance Technician works closely with the Facilities team and contributes to a safe, clean, and well-maintained environment for staff and clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform day-to-day repairs, emergency maintenance, and preventative maintenance tasks across agency locations.
- Troubleshoot and repair building systems including plumbing, HVAC, roofs, drains, and general equipment.
- Complete carpentry, painting, drywall repair, furniture assembly, and basic locksmith services.
- Carry out landscaping and snow removal duties as needed.
- Perform routine and specialized janitorial tasks to maintain facility cleanliness.
- Use the electronic work order system to manage tasks and document completed work.
- Assist with preventative maintenance schedules for facility systems.
- Support interoffice mail delivery and coordination of packages between locations.
- Work occasional evenings or weekends to complete time-sensitive projects.
- Follow all safety procedures and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Perform additional maintenance-related duties or special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 1–2 years of maintenance or related experience preferred.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- General knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic systems.
- Strong work ethic with a proactive and positive attitude.
