Spectra Gutter Systems is seeking an experienced and driven Sales Manager to support business growth in our Capital Heights, MD area. This role is responsible for developing new business opportunities, maintaining strong customer relationships, and driving profitability within the assigned region.
The Sales Manager will play a key role in supporting overall operational success by partnering closely with customers and internal teams while expanding market presence throughout the territory. The ideal candidate is highly motivated, relationship-focused, and thrives in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.
Success in this role requires strong business development skills, CRM experience, proactive lead generation, and the ability to rapidly build rapport with both new and existing customers. Extensive travel throughout the territory is required.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers throughout the assigned territory
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to support territory growth and increased revenue
- Manage and grow customer accounts while supporting long-term business partnerships
- Utilize CRM systems to track customer interactions, sales activity, pipeline management, and forecasting
- Conduct customer visits, presentations, and ongoing business development activities
- Collaborate with internal production, operations, and distribution teams to support customer satisfaction and business objectives
- Support regional expansion initiatives and aggressive lead generation efforts
- Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitor activity within the territory
- Meet or exceed established sales goals and performance expectations
- Maintain a high level of professionalism, responsiveness, and customer service
- Travel approximately 75% throughout the assigned territory, including occasional overnight travel as needed

Requirements
- 3+ years of outside sales experience preferred
- Experience in manufacturing, distribution, building materials, construction products, or related industries strongly preferred
- Proven ability to develop new business and grow customer relationships
- Experience utilizing CRM platforms and managing sales pipelines
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage a large territory
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time management abilities
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel extensively
